The inception of Central Police Canteen(CPC) in Jan 2007 under the aegis of MHA is one of the biggest welfare measure initiated for the serving and retired personnel of CAPFs/State Police Forces and their families all over India. Its objective has been to provide good quality consumer goods at competitive prices.
The Central Administrative Committee is the governing body of the CPC which is headed by an officer of the rank of Special DG on rotational basis from CAPFs and 06 members of the rank of IsG from different CAPFs. The objective of the Central Administrative Committee is to prepare and implement guidelines /SOPs to run the Central Police Canteen System. The CPC has now grown to a pan India network with 119 master canteens and over 1625 subsidiary canteens.
The Central Purchase Committee of CPC headed by an officer of the rank of IG and 05 DIsG from various CAPFs as members convene the meetings of price negotiations with various firms on quarterly basis.There are already 456 firms including host of multinational companies registered with CPC and more are in the offing. The quality products of these firms(more than 18000 stock keeping units) are approved and enlisted by the committee at the competitive /lowest rates for the benefits of CAPFs /State Police personnel and their families.
The Central Purchase Committee has been successful in negotiating with the firms to provide maximum rebate on their quality products due to which CPC beneficiaries now have vast choice of having quality products on considerably low cost than the market rates.
It is a matter of immense pride and privilege that we have been able to launch this website to facilitate the reach of activities of CPC to all its stakeholders and it is our endeavour to work continuously for improving the quality of products and services relating to this grand welfare measure.
